Today, we pretended we were doctors working on our "patients."
Our patients were words that wanted to be contractions. Students cut off
letters that they didn't need to make a contraction, and then put an
apostrophe band-aid on the words so they could heal. One student said,
"This is like a game, but we're learning!" Another student said, "I
wish we could do this everyday!" I loved their excitement and energy as
we learned and had fun!
Omg, that is such a fun activity. You are lucky to be able to teach elementary school and have cool lesson plans.
